    Our hands are tied by restrictions in the agreements that allow us to sell credit through the app store. We will continue to work with Apple to find a way to allow for vouchers where possible.

    Hi, our guidance to advisors is to spend only 5-10 seconds on introducing themselves to new clients. We generally suggest they use the remainder of the time for the reading to address the client's questions or situation. If an advisor is taking excessive time to introduce themselves or filling the end of readings with administrative stuff, please let support know. We can review the advisor and remind them of our expectations.

    Hi, we are considering this. The problem is that the PayPal fees are more significant on lower dollar amounts. We have heard this request from a number of clients and are looking into the impact on our pricing of accommodating it. We strive to keep Purple Ocean as affordable as possible and part of that is avoiding offering payment options that add unnecessary expense when we can. $10 credit purchases are available through both Google and Apple in-app purchases.

    Hi Ariel, If you have a problem that requires you to refuse a reading, please contact support immediately. We will review the situation and have the ability to withdrawal the order if necessary and explain the problem to the client.

    Hi Joelle. That's patently false. Delivering a blank reading is sufficient cause for suspension or termination. If you have an issue with a client and do not want to deliver a reading you need to contact support. We do have this happen on occasion when an advisor wants to avoid an automated suspension and has run out of time and we always refund the order.

    As an advisor, delivering genuine readings on time is your responsibility. If you deliver a blank and do not notify support, you can count on being terminated when caught. We will immediately question the motivation behind avoiding the order. And to be open, clients ALWAYS tell us when an advisor does this. I'm not sure who you think pays for a reading to only get a blank video and doesn't report it, but I can assure you it doesn't happen.

    Hi,

    Once an order has passed the deadline you are able to cancel it. It would be unfair to allow clients to cancel a placed order before the deadline had passed. Advisors may have already spent time reviewing your questions and meditating or connecting to the situation in their own way even if they have not delivered the video reading yet.

    Sharing information about clients between advisors is strictly forbidden in our terms of service for advisors. It is also highly subjective. We won't be rating clients on Purple Ocean. Our expectation is you do your best for every client and contact support if there is a problem. We terminate client accounts for patterns of bad behavior, just as we terminate advisor accounts when warranted.

    That is the concern. We are looking at ways to implement allowing both but automatically removing you from rush or live when you get an order from the other. There are both technical and practical issues with that though that need to be resolved before we can consider changing the current restriction. Thanks for the input!

    Lola Insights is correct. We do not allow advisors to rate other advisors either positive or negative. We are quite fine with advisors being clients of other advisors. Rating each other is an inherent conflict of interest and will be removed as soon as we are aware of it. We are looking into ways to prevent this technically, but for now if another advisor leaves feedback on a reading with you, please contact support so we can instruct them and remove the review!

    Hi Joelle,

    We like the idea of other contests during sales and will consider implementing some other rewards for participating advisors than we have to date. Subjective contests are inherently less fair though, so it will take some thought on how to do this.

    However, the point of sales is to attract new customers and provide advisors with a growing client base on Purple Ocean. More clients on the platform benefits every advisor, even those who do not participate in the sales. We understand that your revenues are effected, just as ours are, by the reduced prices during sales. We firmly believe that the advisors who work the hardest to help attract new clients during the sales deserve extra recognition and compensation and thus our sale promotions for advisors are geared towards those who participate in the fullest. Additionally we aren't interested in contests that "judge" clients or their issues. We have total commitment to client privacy and advisor discretion.

    The top performing advisors in most of our sales work just over 30 of the 48 sale hours. They appreciate the opportunity to gain new clients and take advantage of the sales to deliver more orders in two days than they typically deliver in five or six. To many of them the opportunity to push hard to compete for the bonus and rack up a lot of orders at once and gain new clients is very motivating!

    We'll put our thinking caps on though and see if we can come up with a unique contest for the May or June sale that respects all those points :)

    We have Live Video Call readings available currently on iOS and coming soon to Android. They feature per-minute pricing and allow you to get a full reading on demand!

    We set the withdrawal limits to minimize the fees you pay to PayPal for receiving the money. Unfortunately, It is not practical to lower that limit without putting an unnecessary fee burden on all advisors.

    If you would like some guidance on how to increase your orders in order to reach the withdrawal threshold sooner, please contact support!

    Hi Anonymous,

    We certainly respect each advisor's decision on whether to participate in the occasional sales.

    However, you seem to be unaware that it is not just advisors that contribute. Every party (Apple/Google/PayPal/tax man/Purple Ocean) gets half the revenue they typically get from an order during these sales and the advisors' overall percentage does not change and remains the highest of everybody involved.

    Purple Ocean also spends a significant amount in marketing to promote the sales. The reason we hold these sales is to entice new users to try the service and existing users to try some different advisors. Many advisors see the benefit in growing the user base for everybody and making contacts with a bunch of new users themselves. Some advisors prefer not to contribute to those efforts. I'm all for clients expressing their desire for participation to their favored advisors. Maybe they can change a mind or two.

    The competition you refer to is in appreciation and recognition of those advisors who put in extra effort and dedicate themselves to promoting the app during these sales. We are grateful to all who participate and help us shine to all of the new clients the sales attract!

    Hi! Please encourage your favorite advisors to participate! A large majority of our advisors participate in the sales, but some who have elected not to participate might be swayed if they hear the demand from their customers directly :) We certainly encourage them all to participate, but it is not likely we will make it mandatory.

    Hi,

    Every dollar that a client spends on the Purple Ocean app is subject to our same revenue sharing terms. The government charges taxes, Apple and Google take their percentage, the credit card processor takes their piece for website purchases.

    And of course, Purple Ocean is a business and we need our share of the revenues too for building and maintaining the platform that enables Advisors to get paid for mobile readings, as well as providing customer service and support to the entire community of users, both clients and advisors. Not to mention the advertising and marketing costs of bringing clients to the site to benefit from advisor services!

    I hope that helps to explain it.

    Hi,

    The advisors are all independent and schedule their own hours. When they are online they have committed to providing their reading within 24 hours (or 1 hour in rush mode). There is a notification feature in the app to allow you to know when a specific advisor is online!
